Mike The Headless Chicken

On September 1945, farmer Lloyd Olsen of Fruita, Colorado, United States. Had his mother-in-law around for dinner and was sent out to the yard by his wife to take a chicken. Then the farmer choose five a half month old . And his name is Mike. Then he slaughter it. But the axe missed the jugular vein, and leaving ear and most of the brain stem intact. Although so he was still be able to balance his body.
After Mike did'nt dead the farmer decide continue to care Mike. The farmer feeding Mike with small grains of corn.
After he was known to many people, Mike began a career of sideshow. He was also photograph with magazine, like TIME. And Mike was on display to the public for an admission cost of 25 cents.
On March 1947, in the hotel after sideshow Mike started choking in the middle of the night. Finnaly they were unable to save Mike. But Lloyd Olsen claimed that he had sold the bird , resulting in histories of Mike still touring the country as late as 1949.
Now Mike The Headless Chicken is an instituete in Fruita, Colorado. With annual " Mike The headless Chicken Day" when the third weekend of May, Starting in 1999.
